I have been here at Clowns for thirteen years. I knew from the moment I had my interview that Clowns was different. I have had previous experiences of working in a variety of both private and state nurseries. However, as I began to learn more about Clowns throughout the interview, I knew this is where I wanted to be. I believe it is a place where I can develop and grow professionally.
Tracy is a very unique manager. She is always on the forefront ready to support and encourage us to further develop. She is hands on and is always ready to get stuck in. She knows each child and staff members as individuals and treats everyone with equal respect and care. This was one of the first things I noticed when I started here and this made me want to stay here and be part of Clowns. I started as a nursery nurse in the Cherry room, where I worked for four years alongside the third and fourth in charge. I worked hard to develop my skills and was promoted to team leader of the Strawberry room and a part of the senior management team.
Having a job like mine is a vocation a calling. I love getting to know each child individually and their families, learning the different intricacies of each child and being with them on this tremendous journey. Where they begin Strawberry as young toddlers and leave Strawberry as confident, happy, thriving little boys and girls. I’m passionate about my role and Clowns. I believe in providing the children with the best possible start in their educational journey. I have had previous experiences of working in a variety of both private and state nurseries.
