I joined Clowns in August 2012 as the Limetree Class teacher. Since my arrival we have grown to 2 classes and I have become the Early Years Co-ordinator – ensuring that there is consistency and challenge in what the curriculum offers for children in classes throughout the nursery. Although no longer in the classroom full time, I remain responsible for overlooking the preparation of children for 4+ assessments and transition into at some of the most prestigious schools in North London.
When I do get time in the classroom, I personally enjoy the challenge of nurturing a love of learning in the children – from a very young age. As a graduate of UCL Institute Of Education, I am naturally passionate about the diverse ways in which children learn. I thrive on the challenge of offering new, fun and exciting learning opportunities that are relevant, practical and applicable to the world as the children see it. We live in a world that is changing all the time and I continually strive to reflect the world around us to the children in both my manner and the way that I teach and present old, new and abstract ideas to them.
I am also privileged to have the exciting roles of Operations Manager and PA to the Head. These roles allow me the opportunity to understand, experience, facilitate and learn about the multi-faceted nature of the nursery – both as an outstanding setting and as a business.
The combination of the roles above appeal to myself as a highly-motivated and ambitious individual with an integrous outlook on life. In addition they fuel my passion to reach my full potential whilst encouraging and supporting others to do the same.
