Mr Hughes

Early Years Teacher, Science Co-ordinator

I am overjoyed to have joined Clowns in January 2024 as the Class Teacher in Limetree Green. I have worked in Education since 2018 and have experience teaching the EYFS through to Key Stage 2. I value the diversity of backgrounds and unique experiences each child brings to the classroom, and recognise the value of an enriching and enabling environment in a child’s early learning journey.

I am passionate about creating a nurturing and welcoming classroom that cultivates curiosity and fosters learning and development. I endeavour to instill a love of learning in each child by providing opportunities for them to explore the world around them. As a former Science Curriculum Lead, I am looking forward to sharing the awe and wonder of science with the children as they explore the ‘what’, ‘how’ and ‘why’.

I believe that there are endless learning opportunities in our surroundings, and I take pride in drawing upon my own lived experiences in my teaching. For example, my passion for art and design serves as a valuable tool, not only to encourage imagination and creativity but also to impart the important lesson that individuality is to be celebrated.
