My name is Pankti, I grew up in India and moved to London in 2019. I hold a degree and have a background in financial markets, where I used to lead a highly experienced team.  Despite my initial degree, it was while volunteering at a children’s orphanage that I found my calling to work with children.

This led me to train as an Early Years Teacher and I now have over 5 years of experience working with children. I was previously the Deputy Manager of an Early Years setting where I led the team through an Ofsted inspection.

I believe in giving children the best possible start to their lives. I am passionate about planning around children’s interests and ensuring they get the support they need to flourish. I believe they learn best through real-life experiences, which lends itself perfectly to my passion for creating and providing stimulating and exciting outdoor learning activities. Having had the opportunity to work in partnership with a variety of communities, children in my care have, for example, planted trees in a park where they then became guardians for the trees. This enabled the children to take a genuine and practical interest in the world around them and gave them firsthand experience of looking after the natural world.

I am really looking forward to my new role as joint Deputy Head of Pastoral and being a part of the incredible team at Clowns.
